Parcel scam in Delhi: A fresh case of Parcel Scam has come to light in the country’s capital Delhi. Here an engineer has been targeted in the name of a parcel. Not only this, the person has also been duped of Rs 9 lakh. Everyone is shocked to know the whole matter.
According to a report by Aaj Tak, the person was first intimidated in the name of fake parcel scam and then he was kept under digital arrest for 3 hours. After this, he was duped of Rs 9 lakh. Actually, an engineer living in Greater Noida works in an MNC company. He received a call on Friday morning and the caller was identified as an employee of a courier company. After this, the caller told that his Aadhaar card has been used with a parcel being sent abroad. After this, the caller told that many other banned items including drugs have also been found in the parcel. The caller also told that this shipment has been stopped after interrogation by the NCB.
Criminals harassed the man
After this, the person was badly intimidated and the caller introduced himself as an NCB officer. After this, he received a second call, in which the caller introduced himself as from the cyber cell. After this, both of them started harassing the person. Both the scammers kept the person under digital arrest for 3 hours. After this, the cyber thugs obtained the information of the bank details of the person and took a loan of more than 9 lakh rupees. After this, the criminals transferred Rs 9.95 lakh to different accounts. The criminals intimidated, threatened and even shared fake IDs with the person. The entire matter is now being investigated by the team of Cyber Police Station.
